Garment Neck Label

Most custom printed clothing comes with the manufacturers label inside of the collar. A lot of new brand owners want their garments to look custom, so we remove the existing label & screen print your branding inside to give it the best custom look.

If you’re looking to add a higher perceived value, extra branding & a professional finish to your products then you may want to consider neck prints.

Neck prints or labels?

This usually comes down to personal preference but we recommend going for custom labels if you’re getting fleece lined items such as hoodies & sweats, as neck prints won’t work on the fleece lining. Neck prints also have a much faster turnaround time than labels, so that’s worth considering

How much do they cost?

Neck prints will add between 55p & £1.30 to the cost of your garment. If tag removal is also required this will add between 27p & 40p per garment.

Can you remove the branded label?

Most wholesale t-shirts come with the manufacturers branding in the collar. Most of the time we can remove the labels by cutting them a certain way & sliding them out from under the stitching.

What information do i need to include on my neck print?

You can see the current labelling rules & regulations on the UKFT website.

These are the details you would need

  • Fibre content, eg: 100% Cotton (required if selling in the UK)
  • Care instructions (more info here)
  • Sizes (S, M, L, XL etc)
  • Your logo
  • Your website

Best garments to print with neck prints?

Thin garments are not advised for neck label prints, as the ink shows through garment. Sweaters, hoodies & other fleece lined items aren’t advised either, as the surface doesn’t print well due to the lining.

We recommend woven labels for these items.
