Design Guidelines: Printed Neck Labels

Swap the manufacturer’s label for your own branding with a printed neck label, applied using DTF transfer. It’s a simple way to make products feel properly yours.

Where it’s available

  • Printed labels work on t-shirts. Hoodies and sweatshirts are lined and can’t be labelled, and very small or kids’ items may be too small for a label
  • Stanley/Stella and AS Colour re-label best

File requirements

  • Format: PNG, 300 PPI, RGB
  • Maximum size: 8 × 8 cm (around 6 × 6 cm works best)

What your label must include

By law, a garment label needs to show:

  • Garment size
  • Fabric composition (e.g. 100% cotton)
  • Care instructions (wash temperature, drying and ironing guidance)
Keep the design simple and high-contrast — the print is small, so clean type stays legible.
