How to Market Your Print-on-Demand Store

You’ve set up your store and added your first designs — now you need customers. Here are practical, low-cost ways to get your print-on-demand products in front of the right people.

1. Find your niche

Broad “funny t-shirt” stores get lost in the noise. Pick a specific audience — a hobby, profession, fandom or cause — and design for them. A tighter niche is far easier (and cheaper) to market to.

2. Use great product photos

Lifestyle mockups that show your design on a real person build trust and sell better than a flat image. Save the mockups from the designer, and order a sample to shoot your hero products properly.

3. Build an audience on social

Short-form video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) is the cheapest way to reach new buyers. Show the design process, behind-the-scenes and the finished product in use. Post consistently and link your shop in bio.

4. Lean on social proof

Reviews, ratings and user photos reassure new customers. Ask happy buyers for a quick photo or review, and feature them on your product pages and socials.

5. Email your customers

An email list is an audience you own. Capture sign-ups with a small discount, then send new designs, restocks and seasonal offers. It’s consistently one of the highest-return channels in e-commerce.

Start small: pick one channel, do it well for 90 days, then add another. Spreading yourself thin across every platform rarely works.
